Exercise Hints

As you move through the core curriculum—and even the prep courses—you’ll encounter many exercises. You'll be assigned exercise sets, and you'll also see exercises at the end of book chapters that you've been assigned to read. When you're working on an exercise, you can engage in conversations with LSBot. In this setting, LSBot is trained to not provide a solution, but rather give you hints and guidance to help you get started, overcome roadblocks, or improve your code.

You can always view the official Launch School solution, but in this setting, LSBot won't give away the answer or write the code for you.

Choosing Your Scope

Just like LSBot conversations, you can choose between standard Fast Mode and Deep Dive Mode for exercise hints. Remember, in fast mode, the scope that LSBot has access to is limited to the current page, whether you're working on a single exercise from an exercise set or an exercise at the end of a book chapter. If you wanted to ask something like "Where in the curriculum could I review the concepts used in this problem?" then Deep Dive Mode would be a good choice.
