From C++ developer to Web Developer

I'd like to share my experience with new Launch Schoolers. Don't doubt, trust Launch School, follow the syllabus, and make your efforts. Your decision is 100% correct

I'd like to share something about how Launch School helped me transition from C++ developer to Full Stack web Developer.

My background is in C++/C# and enterprise software, but the city I am living in has more opportunities for Web Developers. After hours of investigation and studies, I finally chose Launch School to help me do the transition, and it has proven to be the best decision I've made in recent years. I have experience in OOP and Web Services. What I was missing was an understanding of web technologies, so I directly jumped into the front-end courses to learn JS as a dynamic/prototypal language, browser development, HTML/CSS, etc (note that Launch School no longer allows starting with front-end). I am really into the way of learn by doing and mastery. The 1 on 1 interviews helped me become more confident, learn how to think aloud, express ideas/algorithms, and dissect problems.

After 6 months of learning (20hrs/wk), I felt confident working in web development and I started my job hunting. I got interviewed at 2 companies and got 2 offers within a month or so. Much quicker than I expected. I'd never been that popular before! I want to thank Launch School for the wonderful curriculum and the assessments, because I would not have been as prepared without them.
