Launch School helped prepare me to be an excellent coder, but more importantly, a proficient learner. Learning to be comfortable in not knowing is a blessing, trust me!

Launch School was a breath of fresh air for me. I never felt like traditional lecture-style academia was right for me. It was too easy to become one of many and fade into the background. Meanwhile, Launch School provided such an enticing and fun curriculum, while putting the onus on you to commit your time and effort. It is such a clever way to empower career-transitioners. You are proving to yourself every day that you can do it, and that if you keep following the path Launch School has laid out, there is a bright, evidence-proven light at the end of the tunnel.

Launch School helped prepare me to be an excellent coder, but more importantly, a proficient learner. Week after week, month after month, your expertise and mastery will grow. But just as it does, so will your horizon... to how much you don't know. But the mastery-based path set out by Launch School gave me the confidence and skills to pick up and learn new things with relative ease and comfort... even excitement! I am frequently thanked and praised for being open to taking ownership of new challenges on my engineering team – something that doesn't seem like a big deal to me after Launch School. Learning to be comfortable in not knowing is a blessing, trust me!

Capstone was an absolute blast. So many folks in the same place in life – starting anew, regardless of where they were before LS – just grinding it out together. It was so refreshing! And we were all there to lift each other up and to get the most out of the experience. It made me truly excited to be on a team, and to teach and learn from my peers. Capstone at once turned Launch School's mastery-based philosophy on its head, while also showing us how to leverage our mastered fundamentals to learn at a fast pace with the objective always in our sights – which is much more true to the real world experience. And I'm very proud of my team's Capstone project, and amazed with the intricacies that came with it. I would never have expected to build something so complex and interesting even a few months prior. I wouldn't have even understood the thesis statement...!

I am so grateful for Launch School. Without it, I may never have career transitioned, and I certainly would not have landed the job I have now. The community is vibrant and driven. The staff are brilliant and supportive. And the fun I experienced along the way was really special. I miss my time at Launch School very much.
