Our goal isn't to teach you how to use React or Rails, but to show you how to construct accurate mental representations of first principles in order to tackle fundamental engineering problems. Due to personal reasons, I ended up taking a decent amount of time off from LaunchSchool. Despite this time off, I was surprised at the amount of information I still retained, and jumping back into the course was a lot more fluid than I'd expected. This was very reassuring and a testament that the "slow path to proficiency" and mastering the fundamentals was working just as intended.
